Used to promote hair growth and the prevention of split ends, Carapate oil has qualities close to castor oil.

Thanks to the fatty acids Carapate oil contains (ricinoleic acid) it is ideal for curly, frizzy or extremely dry hair. It helps to nourish, protect, and enveloppe the hair fibre. Thanks to its antibacterial properties it cleanses the dry or irritated scalp.

In addition to the benefits for the hair, Carapate oil is effective in strengthening and encouraging the growth of nails and eyelashes.

Made from our own Ricin cultures on the island of Madagascar, castor oil is characterized by its viscous texture and its many virtues. The Ricin fruit is recognizable by its spiky texture, and in its shell is found the precious seeds. The technique used to obtain Carapate oil is artisanal, manual and ancestral, it has been passed down from mother to daughter in Madagascar.

Our Carapate vegetable oil comes from Madagascar, made in France and certified Cosmos Natural by ECOCERT Greenlife according to the COSMOS reference system.

It is pure, 100% natural, unrefined and has not undergone any processing. It retains its original smell. Carapate oil is derived from castor oil. Carapate oil, or black castor oil, is distinguished from castor oil by its extraction process. Carapate oil is derived with heat, castor seeds are roasted, crushed and then brought to a boil. The oil floating on the surface of the water is then collected. Roasting gives this oil its special smell and its black colour.
